In one of the main villages of Pitsilia, Kyperounta, lies our namesake winery. Located fifty kilometers from Limassol and seventy-five from Nicosia, Kyperounta Winery, at 1,200 meters altitude, is the highest winery in Europe and among the highest in the world. The operation of Kyperounta Winery began in the late 1990s by a group of local vine growers, whose goal was to harness the viticultural potential of the community. This effort coincided perfectly with the vision of the Photis Photiades family, aiming to produce high-quality Cypriot wines with a distinctive character. Our winery’s facilities are built on three levels, allowing the transfer of grape juice to take place gently. Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment and the winemaker’s masterful touch, all our varieties are bottled under excellent conditions, leading to an annual production that exceeds 300,000 bottles. Today, in our underground cellars, 300 barrels of 225 liters each mature patiently, and along with their character, our vision continues to evolve.
